Northwest Place Board Members and Officers

August 31, 2008 meeting. Melinda Coalson elected president.

The homes of NWPNA, ranging in style from traditional to mid-century modern, were built in the 1960s and ‘70s; many are occupied by their original owners.  Many others are owned and occupied by residents of 30 years and more.  Ninety-eight percent of the homes of NWPNA are owner-occupied.

We are conveniently located adjacent to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; to the President George Bush Turnpike; to State Highways 114 and 183; and to Belt Line Road.  These offer us many options for reaching destinations of all distances, from flights around the world to easy drives to the Dallas Galleria, downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas Stadium, the Las Colinas Urban Center, Grapevine Mills, and the entertainment district of Arlington.

Nearby, we enjoy a variety of dining options, supermarkets, shopping centers, and other amenities.  We are just one mile north of Northwest Park, with year-round recreational and educational opportunities for residents of all ages.  A little farther south is historic downtown Irving, with its vibrant Heritage District and Civic Center Complex.

Northwest Place is known for its well-maintained lawns, large shade trees, uninterrupted streetscapes, safe environment, and friendly neighbors who care about each other and their city.
